PowerLisp Supplemental Documentation
In response to many users' requests for more documentation,
I am making available an expanded documentation package for
PowerLisp 2.0. It can be installed by unstuffing the Stuffit Lite
archive, and placing the Documentation folder that gets created
into the PowerLisp 2.0 ƒ folder. You can just let it replace
the existing folder, as it contains copies of the PowerLisp docs
which already exist there.
The supplemental documentation included in this package is
formatted specifically for use with PowerLisp 2.0. It is included
for your use and convenience, but is not officially part of the
PowerLisp package. In particular, it includes all the text of the
reference book Common Lisp the Language 2nd Edition by
Guy L. Steele Jr.
The electronic version of this book has been placed on the internet,
and made available in a number of different formats. My understanding
is that electronic distribution of this work is OK as long as
the attached Digital Press catalog and readme files are included.
This book is copyrighted by Digital Press, and payments made to register
PowerLisp in no way convey any rights regarding usage of the
electronic version of Common Lisp the Language 2nd Edition.
Having said that, I think you will find the integration of
Common Lisp the Language 2nd Edition to be very valuable when
using PowerLisp 2.0. It takes a little longer to start up, as the
menu hierarchy needs to be built and index read, but I recommend it
highly.
Let me know how you like it.
